UE 5.5.4 Avatar Import Issues – Skeleton & IK Reparent Errors (After Auto Setup 2.0.1 Update)
Dear team,
After updating Character Creator and using the new Auto Setup 2.0.1 provided by Reallusion (due to the issues in version 2.0), the situation improved, but I am still facing some problems.
In order for the avatar import process in UE 5.5.4 to complete successfully and for the files to appear properly, I still need to:
Disable Virtual Texture
Enable “Snap to Closest Frame Boundary” in the animation settings
The avatar imports and works inside Unreal (mobility does not appear to be affected), however, the logs are still showing errors.
These errors seem to be mainly related to incorrect configuration of some assets, especially skeletons and rig goals. Examples from the logs include:
Skipping non mounted imported package /Game/NewFolder/kevin_Skeleton
Skipping non mounted imported package /Game/RLContent/Cur/curve_Skeleton
Reparent Rig Goal LeftHandIK Fail
Reparent Rig Goal RightHandIK Fail
This suggests there may be issues related to package mounting, asset references, or failures when reparenting the hand IK goals.
Although this does not prevent the avatar from working inside Unreal, the issue becomes critical when integrating with Convai (conversational AI platform). The avatar upload process completes successfully, but on the platform side it does not finish loading properly, and I am unable to use it most likely due to these structural/log-related errors.
Hi antoniojanuario297,
Thanks for your Feedback,
To further clarify the issue, could you please record a video showing the complete steps you take when the problem occurs?
