CC5's Auto merge material is a great feature for reducing draw call during optimize and decimate.. but It would be better if we had control over texel density.. CC5 by defaults puts arms and legs too big giving them more detail than the face.. end result : Low res face detail.. And Also if my character is wearing a pant , i would like to delete the leg geometry which will also give me more space in uv to adjust the textures and make use of full uv space..
So my suggestion would be Give some sliders to decide which body part should take more or less texel density or enable user to send character to blender and make changes to the uvs and then send it back to cc5 without breaking the character. This is a major issue right now from a character artist perspective.
