Character Creator 5

5.07

Not Reproducible
Issue 12611
spurious alterations by CC5 to existing character texture maps
1) When loading existing custom CC characters CC5 spuriously adds a displacement map to the body texture, where there was no map was assigned when I saved the character.
Which causes a visible line to appear at the texture boundries, meaning every existing character loaded, the map has to be deleted

2) When loading a custom material plus skin CC5 alters the saved texture so the skin becomes shiny requiring the " RESET SHADER PARAMETERS TO DEFAULT ) button to be pushed every time a custom skin is loaded.

Both these bugs require the user to undo changes made by CC5 to existing work created by the user
There is nothing in the 5.1 release notes saying this problem has been addressed so updating from 5.07 to 5.1 won't fix the issue

The problem is when it happens I correct the texture so I dont have a file without going through all my character assets by loading them one at a time
I believe it only occurs when loading a character saved before the update of IC of the latest file format

Hello,

Could you please provide the character file and the custom Material Plus file that exhibit the issues you described?
We have tested with our standard assets but have not been able to reproduce either of the problems you mentioned (the unexpected Displacement Map being assigned or the Shader parameters being altered).
If you're able to share the affected files, our development team can investigate and determine what is causing these issues.
You can upload the files to a cloud storage service (such as Google Drive) and send us the download link. If you prefer, you may also set your reply containing the download link to a private message.

Thank you!
Tina
