Request for Future Feature Mesh to Metahuman Body
Hi Friends, I have been using Reallusion for a while and as a content creator I am planning to create a tutorial that dives into integrating CC5, Unreal Engine 5 and Ai like Flux 2 Klein 9B, 4B as well as Wan 2GP, for creating professional grade content and that would be future proof for several generations (As a workflow or Pipeline). What I have noticed on my end during testing, is that the mesh to metahuman export for just the head works nicely. You can even create a MetaHuman Identity, and use it as a template, to conform a metahuman character's head, and the resemblance to your CC5 character has decent accuracy. However, when it comes to the body, I haven't been able to use my CC5 character, as a template to conform a metahuman body, without using 3rd party software like Blender. It's probably a topology difference. I am also aware that the Unreal All in One Plugin let's you divide your CC5 character and blueprints in a similar fashion to a MetaHuman. But, what I would like to see in the future if possible, is to further extend the mesh to metahuman pipeline. It would be a more direct route, in which I can feed my CC5 body mesh as a template, to conform a MetaHuman's Body inside Unreal's MetaHuman Creator. The goal would be to have a mesh to metahuman feature that can handle the body in the same simplified way that Mesh to MetaHuman handles the heads heavy lifting in it's current state. This would allow me to further edit my character in UE5 as well. The ultimate goal is to have a digital twin on one end running as a CC5 or iClone character for animating, and on the other end as a MetaHuman in Unreal for Rendering, to leverage all the specialties of each app in a unified pipeline. I know it's a lot to ask. I included an image of a free resource that UE5 has in their marketplace, which already has the base topology ready to be imported into DCC apps. When this FBX is used to sculpt a character, you can import it back into UE5, and it will work as a template to conform metahumans in the Metahuman Creator. I hope to hear back with exciting news that the mesh to metahuman has been extended to make the body import compatible.
