Issue 8569
Replacing a character in pose replaces also the pose
I attached a demo IC8.01 project containing Camilla in pose (Animation/Pose/2.Female Pose/Against Wall)
https://www.dropbox.com/s/suribkot0btubcz/testMotionReplace.zip?dl=0

Select Camilla, then from Content select another character - even a Motion Dummy - double click-it to replace Camilla and you will see the pose is replaced by replacing character's T-Pose.

What I can tell:
- definitely didn't happen in IC7, but I cannot tell for sure it could have been happened in IC8.0
- it's not related with motion alignment
- doesn't happen if original character's pose is flattened (either directly, either by collect-save-load animation)
- weird, doesn't happen in all other projects (the attached one here is a "stripped-down" one)

Please let me know if there's a workaround (apart from flattening) or a wrong setting from my side.
Thanks!

Thank you for answer! Unfortunately, I cannot replicate it because the original project was an IC7 one. I imported it in IC8.01 and, at one time, I observed this issue, then, as I said in the description, I progressively removed other props etc in order to make it as small/simple as possible to provide it here. And yes, me also I said in the description, doesn't happen in all projects (not that I tried too many, to be honest). I will try to see if I can replicate it "from the scratch", but I cannot guarantee - otherwise, if I would have already a procedure, I would have tell it.

Hi Amper Sand,

I can repeat it in your project, but it works when I create a project. Can you capture a screen video about how you create this project? Please put it on the YouTube, and add the link in your next comment.Thanks.

After further investigation and using Amper Sand's test file, it seems that the problem is with the provided CC4 characters. When testing with CC3+ characters, the pose is preserved.

Sorry for my confusion, what Amper Sand alluded to, replacing a character with an animation worked as expected in iClone 8.0. I don't know about a pose.

So continuing with my same project (which was originally from iClone 7), I can replace a character with animation without a problem. And, as mentioned, sending a character from CC4 as replacement in iClone works as well.

I'll try with the provided project.

Ignore my previous comment, as that had to do with animation disappearing when sending a character from CC4 to iClone 8. That now works correctly.
