Positional Cinematic Audio On Props Triggered By Physics & Light sources
Hi Devs, I'd like to suggest something that will help automate the workflow for both film makers and game developers. When planning a scene currently I have to put audio elements on many tracks in DAWs and try to match things up. Game devs also have the challenge of finding all their assets and add the corresponding audio file.
What I suggest is an option that when we drag an audio file we are presented with another option to go deeper which could additionally be accessed on the physics tab for the prop. Each prop would have the option of adding audio files that play once it is hit. Hit hard audio file #1, #2 & #3, hit soft, 1, 2 & 3 etc Hit hard files options can include randomness or by sequence, same with hit soft. Each hit option will have a hardness range assigned to each audio file.
iClone film makers usually don't have advanced sound mechanics available to them nor do many know how to use a Daw to plan their scenes.
This will allow iClone users both beginners and pro's create professional/Cinematic, efficient and timely results.
Triggered by light source would offer a buzzing light sound or from a laser, flames etc
Auditory should be added to the general tab category. Next to film itself, audio is the next most important feature.
**Bug: There currently seems to be an issue with stereo audio import to props as being converted to mono but importing video clips work as stereo**
If you consider improving the sound all over, please include automatic occlusion zones (just like when a camera hides objects in games that it cannot see, a sound can have an audio muffle feature with levels users can adjust based on distance etc if the ears can't directly see an object with sound attached)
