New "Save Material Plus" introduced in v7.3 saves ALL object materials amazingly fast, while legacy "Save Material" is still idling while saving a single material and is quite inefficient.
Unfortunately, "Material Plus" only works with unmodified mesh. If I wish to decimate an object with a dozen materials outside of iClone and then import it back, I would still have to use legacy "Load/Save Material" routine for each material.
If "Material Plus" saves a dozen materials in split second, then I do not see the reason why a legacy "Save Material" should take longer while saving just a single material.
Please make this happen....
(I used term "legacy" to give a clear distinction between the two methods. Of course each method still serves its own purpose)
