Is there a backup feature in case of uninstall or hard drive failure?
It hasn't happened to me but I'm curious just in case. I've imported tons of assets into my custom library so I'm curious as to how the files save. So to make this short,

1 - Do your custom files remain on your account via cloud?
2 - Would I have to re-import all these files one by one, or is there a faster way to save and go forth?

Hi omegapixelart,

One thing I forgot to mention. If you copy or restore the custom folder to a new installation. You will need to use "Import Custom Content" feature to make the contents appear in SmartGallery.
Please see the tutorial at 8:48 - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_6VPSDy10kU&feature=youtu.be&t=528

Dear omegapixelart,

The custom files are stored on local drive only, they won't be uploaded to the cloud thus cannot be restored though your account.
To backup and restore the custom files, you can always find the location of custom folder, and backup/restore whole custom folder by using zip, file copy, or Windows backup/restore.

Below is the steps to query the location of custom folder on your machine:
1. Press [Win]+R, open the Run dialog
2. Type or copy the following texts to the Open command, press [ENTER]
    cmd /k reg query "HKLM\SOFTWARE\Reallusion\Character Creator\3.0" /v "Custom Data"
3. A console window will pop up and show the custom folder location on your machine, please ref to the attached image.

I hope this answered your questions. Please let me know if there is anything more I can help with.
