Unwanted dots on character faces during rendering
When attempting to render either still images or animation sequences, pixelated dots appear on all my characters faces except when the camera is zoomed in. To replicate the issue, one would merely need to load a scene with any character, adjust the render settings, and then choose the render to location as normal. However, instead of having the clear skin one would expect, the character will instead be afflicted with what I call "cyber pox," because it seems to be affecting all my characters, no matter what skin color they may have. The issue occurs when rendering with or without the iRay plugin. I would highly appreciate your assistance in troubleshooting this issue. I am in the process of producing a film, and this issue is threatening to put us behind our deadlines.

My creative consultant and I did some additional troubleshooting and determined that iClone 8 isn't the issue; it's rendering the characters as they are. The skin dots are being generated and exported with the character from CC4.

Molly - thank you for following up on this. I received assistance from one of your technicians in late September, and his recommendation of switching to PBR mode for character skin solved the problem. I'm happy to report that the production of our film, "The Revenge of the Bride of Frankenstein," is progressing according to schedule.
