My name is Yonatan Getachew (email: yonatangetachew08@gmail.com), and I’m a DAZ Studio user.
I would like to suggest that the AccuRIG development team consider adding native support for DAZ Genesis figures—such as Genesis 8 and 9—within the AccuRIG desktop application. Specifically, it would be incredibly helpful if AccuRIG could recognize the DAZ rig system upon import, allowing for:
Seamless integration with DAZ-generated characters
Automatic or simplified rigging of Genesis characters in AccuRIG
Direct application of ActorCore motions to these figures
Export of rigged and animated characters back to DAZ Studio
Currently, users can easily send AccuRIG motions to software like Blender or Maya, but there is no direct workflow for sending them to DAZ Studio. This leaves a growing DAZ user base without a smooth way to take advantage of AccuRIG’s powerful features.
Integrating DAZ support would unlock a largely untapped market for AccuRIG. Many creators use DAZ to build characters and then seek ways to animate them. If AccuRIG could fit seamlessly into this pipeline—DAZ for character creation, AccuRIG for motion—it would offer a powerful, streamlined solution and likely attract more users to ActorCore’s ecosystem.
As DAZ Studio continues to grow in popularity, I believe this would be a forward-thinking and mutually beneficial addition to your toolset. Thank you for considering this suggestion.
