Issue 11772
Exporting an edited Unreal enginen 5.4 animation doesn't respect animation range
Imported a 38 key frame animation from Unreal engine, cleaned the animation in iclone 8 and made a few edits to keyframes

Exporting FBX and Setting the range to 0 - 38 which is the total length and exporting to Unreal engine

Importing the animation and playtesting shows the animation length is now 1200 frames long
The original animation is 548kb, 38 frames, the resulting animation is 1.8Mb and 1200 frames
OS: Windows 10

Hi doubblesixx,

Thank you for your reply.

We’ve reviewed your video and were able to reproduce the issue on our end. After consulting with our team, it appears that in certain cases, the exported FBX may cause Unreal Engine to misinterpret or fail to detect the correct FPS for specific bones on the character exported from iClone.

To work around this, we recommend manually enabling Custom Sample Rate during export. You can set the value to match the original FPS of your project (e.g., 30, 60). This should ensure that all bone animations are sampled correctly and interpreted properly in Unreal Engine.

Please give this a try and let us know if it resolves the issue.

Thanks again for bringing this to our attention!

Best regards,
jasmine

Hi doubblesixx,

Thank you for your feedback.

Apologies for the late reply. May I ask if you are still experiencing the issue mentioned earlier? Our team was unable to reproduce the problem.
If you are still encountering the same issue, could you please provide a video recording and the project files to help us with further investigation?

You can upload the screen recording and project files to a cloud storage service, such as Google Drive, and share the link in your next post.
If you prefer to keep the files private, you can select the "Private Comment" option.

Thank you!

jasmine
