I’m using CC 4.5, and every now and then the Auto Setup plugin in 3ds Max stops working. It freezes and nothing happens. I haven’t been able to pinpoint the issue, and filing a support ticket with the developers didn’t lead to a resolution either.

However, I’ve noticed a pattern: in Character Creator 4, when I save multiple versions of the same project under different file names, the Auto Setup plugin in 3ds Max appears to get confused and eventually stops functioning. It only works reliably with the first file created under the original file name.

Based on this behavior, I believe I’ve identified the source of the issue.
