Asset Motion Missing
Hello, I see some tutorials with the 'spider' actor, and showing how to use Motion Pilot, for example.
However, regardless of updating and downloading all the packs, I don't see the actual motion of the spider.
A large part of my project was based on this motion, and CA5's easy to transfer motions. And I have built about 30% of my project already, which has taken a couple of weeks, only to find out that the motion of the Spider Walk doesn't even exist.
I am not animating all the leg motions by keyframing as that defeats the purpose of why I am using the software- for it's faster animation.
There are courses and official tutorials with this motion- where you easily just drag the spider onto the viewport and can move it around with motion pilot of set a path for it, but that motion is missing!
I've downloaded the latest Puppet Path, which is where that asset is in, and I see a bunch of other motions- EXCEPT the one I got this for.

Is there a way to update that in your packs and release ? Otherwise this has been a big upset.

Thanks.

Hi virtuarystudios,

There is currently no spider walking motion available in Free Resources. You can directly use the spider character from the “Puppet & Path” pack in Free Resources. By using Motion Pilot, you can easily create a walking animation.

Alternatively, you can record a spider walking motion yourself. After recording, go to the Timeline, use Collect Clip to select the desired animation range, then right-click on the Collect Clip track and choose Export to save the motion. The exported motion can then be applied to other spider characters.

Answer: Apparently I don't know where to look for things well, yet. I don't even remember where I saw it but I was able to add the "walk" motion and I think it was only in a Motion Pilot window? Anyhow, it's still a little confusing because I thought "motions" would appear in Animation Folder in the Content Manager as a type of motion already created, that you could just drag and drop easily onto similar objects, and more importantly on the object that it was created for.
I still don't see it where other animation motions are, nor under the actual asset's folder in CM, but I got it to work thru MP if I recall correctly.

So..issue resolved?
Thank you.
