Ambient occlusion issue
I noticed a problem when an object is about to leave or enter the camera range (see the gif attached).
The problem happens here near the floor, the ambient occlusion is noticeably going on/off and it's doing the same thing for each step of the stair if the camera keeps going up.
I also attached a simple test project where you can see the same thing when a step leaves the camera range.

Others have the same issue, we discussed about it here : https://forum.reallusion.com/483062/Ambient-occlusion-issue

We understand the limitation, but I think that a fix can be fairly easily implemented. I suggested the following:

"What should happen is for the AO algorithm to consider an area outside the current view as well so that a surface that has moved out of view still 'counts' in the calculation.

You can see the effect of this idea when you add an image layer that creates a border around the visible area. The invisible surface still "counts" in this case which improves the visual effect."

Hi,

Because Visual > Ambient Occlusion is screen-space visual effect, this is current AO limitation,
All the AO result bases on the vertex information on the screen, when the vertex in the bottom of stair disappears from the screen, so there is no information for AO ( AO result disappears).
Please refer the attached image.
