3DXChange Causes Fatal Crash When Importing
I am trying to import my Delorean model. The file is a OBJ file that is about 364K in size and has a little over a 2.5k Face Count.
When I tried to import the file the first time, 3DXChange just closed without any error.
When I tried to import the file the second time, it complained about a memory issue.
The computer that it is running on does not have any hardware issues (the memory is file) and no software/OS issues. All other software including rendering software is working perfectly fine.

The object file has been attached with a TXT extension (to allow it to be attached). Remove the TXT extension to try importing.
OS: Windows 10

Okay. I tried the attached file and it also managed to import. It turns out that it is the MTL file that is causing the crash. When the MTL is not present, it manages to import. When the MTL file is present, it crashes. The MAT file is attached.

Note: This makes this issue less important because if the item can be imported by removing the MTL file, the materials can be re-applied in iClone.

Triangulating the mesh before importing did not resolve the issue. It still crashed when trying to import.

An error similar to this one is SOMETIMES generated when the OBJ import fails. In other cases it just crashes without any error message.
