I would like to see 180 degree VR implemented within iClone, as supported by the Google 180 VR format. My main issue with 360 degree panoramic VR video/animation is that it's difficult to tell a narrative,as the viewer may be looking the opposite direction while something important is happening. 360 VR tends to work better in real time games. 180 VR forces the viewers attention forwards, thereby not missing out any action and making it easier to tell a story. It gives a wide IMAX style field of view, which is even more immersive in stereoscopic. I think it would be easier for iClone users to translate their movies into 180VR (rather than 360 VR). I feel this format has great potential for animation which hasn't been fully explored yet.
Totally agree. 360, except for games, is a waste of disk space as for a video your attention is directed solely where the action is taking place and you don't need to look behind you to check for advancing monsters you will have to fight.
