Presentation of character personality

  • Best presentation of character personality showing full character functionality and possibilities such as expression, gesture, cloth, accessory changes, physics, and morph options.

*Entrants can win special prizes by using Headshot for CC to create characters, iClone for animations, and creating likeness of politicians, entertainers, movie characters, sports personalities, and more.

Qualifications

  • Must use CC Character as base to design your own character.
  • Must create and maintain Work in Progress (WIP) during production on Reallusion Forum or ArtStation. We'll select and display prominent examples during the contest.
  • Submissions
    • Image
    • Turntable video
    • Animated video: if participating in the "Animated Character" category, then you are required to submit an animated video in addition to the turntable video.
  • Entrants may submit up to 3 entries for award consideration.
  • Entrants who get a 2-month full version of CC and iClone have to upload their submissions to ArtStation Portfolio, and select "Character Creator" (and "iClone") as the software used.

Rules & Encouragements

  • To submit, all entrants should be Reallusion registered members (membership is free) and submit their images and videos via the Submission Form before November 18th, 2020 midnight/Pacific Time. Upload your final character videos to YouTube or Vimeo, and add the video URL in the Submission Form.
    • IMPORTANT: the video name title must begin with the text: "CC Digital Human Contest 2020".  
    • The video text description must include "Character Creator link: https://www.reallusion.com/character-creator/ "
    • All video entries must have the Contest Logo at the end of the video for at least 3 seconds.
  • You must create and maintain a WIP-threads (work-in-progress threads) on Reallusion Forum or your ArtStation Portfolio / Blog, to show your progress as this will be counted in the judge criteria.
    • Reallusion Forum: title your thread accordingly "CC Digital Human Contest 2020 - user name" (e.g. CC Digital Human Contest 2020 - Adam).
    • ArtStation Portfolio: you must enter "Character Creator" as the software used and add tags "CC Digital Human Contest 2020".
    • ArtStation Blog: you must add tags "CC Digital Human Contest 2020".
  • You can use all the tools you like such as ZBrush, Substance Painter, Marvelous Designer, Maya, 3ds Max, Unreal Engine, Unity, Blender, and more to incorporate with Character Creator.
  • Winners will be posted on ArtStation and Reallusion, and notified through e-mail.
  • Winners will also have a good chance to be featured on Reallusion newsletters, media channels, and blog interviews for additional exposure.
  • Winners may have an opportunity to be selected as Featured Content Developers, or contacted to work on outsourced Reallusion projects to monetize their creations to the CC/iClone 3D community. Know More

Other Rules & Criteria

  • Reallusion reserves the right to disqualify or remove, without notification, submissions done in poor taste including content that is: offensive, defamatory, indecent, or objectionable.
  • At Reallusion's request, winners may be asked to provide additional contact information for purpose of prize delivery.
  • Reallusion reserves the right to feature and showcase selected parts of the user videos or images from the WIP and final submission for event wrap up, marketing materials, media reports and others.

  • Reallusion reserves the right to cancel this competition at any stage, if deemed necessary in its opinion, and if circumstances arise outside of its control or if the number of entrants do not exceed the minimum number decided by Reallusion.
  • Reallusion states that all winner announcements are final. Winners will not be chosen based on popularity votes or any other factors other than judgment from the judging panel. 
  • By submitting an entry, a participant automatically agrees and certifies that he/she has read and agreed to all the rules and requirements governing this particular event.
  • By submitting, entrants also grant Reallusion the permission to use their creative work in any future marketing event or promotion held by Reallusion.
  • Reallusion would like to make clear that it does not profit from this event. The CC Digital Human Contest 2020 is done out of good faith and with the purpose of bringing communities and ideas together for the entertainment of all.
