Issue 12450
error when importing character into 3ds max
When i import a character into 3ds max 2024 using your autosetup plugin, arnold set as the renderer, whenever i select the character i get the error shown in the screenshot, and the biped skeleton auto setup gets stuck at 40% and never moves on. if i close the progress bar it just throws a biped somewhere randomly.
sometimes it has worked as it should.

Hi akaraklis,

First of all, please accept our sincere apologies for the long delay in getting back to you regarding your report.

We are writing to follow up on the issue you experienced where the Biped auto-setup gets stuck at 40% and throws an error when importing a character into 3ds Max 2024 with the Arnold renderer.

Since it has been a while, could you please let us know if you are still able to reproduce this issue using the latest versions of our Auto Setup plugin and Character Creator?

If the freezing and error still occur on your end, we would greatly appreciate it if you could share the specific FBX file or the original CC project file you were trying to import. Having the exact file that causes the stall at 40% will be incredibly helpful for our development team to pinpoint the cause and fix it. You can share the file via a cloud drive link (e.g., Google Drive, Dropbox).

Thank you very much for your patience and for helping us improve our tools!

Best regards,
Kayla

Hi akaraklis,

I hope you are doing well! I am just checking in to follow up on your ticket regarding the Biped auto-setup freezing at 40% in 3ds Max.

Have you had a chance to test if the latest versions of Character Creator and the Auto Setup plugin resolved this error?

If you are still encountering the issue, please kindly share the specific FBX or CC project file via a cloud link (like Google Drive or Dropbox) as requested previously. We would be happy to investigate this further once we receive your file.

Thank you for your time!
