We need a 64b version...
Hello Reallusion,

iClone is becoming more and more powerful, but 3DXChange is stuck to its old 32b version, which greatly limits the size of the assets imported or exported.
It is kind of a pity that 3DXChange has not been upgraded to 64b yet, because this makes it impossible, for example, to import highly-populated crowds from SW like AnimaXYZ, which is an amazing supporting SW for iClone.
In other words, 3dXChange severely limits the possibility to cretae and render scenes in iClone populated with thousand of characters.
There are surely other examples to justify the needs for a 64b version.
I am sure I am not alone to ask for this, so I really hope that you would consider a 64b upgrade, as much as you did with iClone5, when you moved from 32b to 64b with one of the upgrades.
I am also sure that the rendered results in iClone, once 3DXChange makes it possible to import huge assets, will be an amazing and additional promo for your SW.

Kind regards

Roberto

Thanks RL for the confirmation that a 64b is in the plan.
I just run into a "Out of memory" situation happening during a batch conversion of some hundreds of BVH files: 3DX notify teh issue but then it is stuck and I had to kill the process running it.
The SW is really too limited and I believe it would be fare at least to provide a 64b version, with no other addition, as a free update of the 7.2 edition.

Thank you all for your feedbacks.

There will be an enhancement plan in v8.0, but the detail items have not clear yet.

I agree that the program needs to be 64bit. I patched it with a little program that makes it possible to import larger files. But, sometimes I have to import models in parts and then put them back together in iclone. That is a hassle.

The GUI needs reworking so the windows can be expanded.

Also, it needs to be updated with the latest import and export file formats.

I agree too that 64 bit is needed in today's environment with fast processors and memory capacities like never before.
