I've made the mistake of overwriting my standard character-file with a game based one more times than I can count. It would be nice to be able to reverse it, and go from game base to standard. It sometimes work if the software closes by accident, and you can get a pop-up asking if you want to covert from CC1 to CC3, even if it was a standard CC3 character to begin with.
