Issue 6593
No Environment Reflections with new Project File
I am trying to get GI Reflections working as they do in the Example Project Files (0.Cornell Box or 2.Loft Scene). The Example files work as expected, however if I start a new Project File consisting of just a floor, a cube, a Metallic PBR sphere and an overhead GI Emissive Plane, I do not get the GI Reflections as I should (and yes, GI is on). I have checked my Project Settings, which are on High, and the ´Environment Reflections' checkbox is enabled.

I have previously had problems with the Project Settings showing everything checked on High mode, however the viewport was not displaying SSS properly. I had to reinstall iClone and got SSS back, but now this. Until there is a fix, I am going to just use the Example File as a template for any new projects. Hope you can fix issue. Thanks.

Thank you, Animagic. That did it. I had the specular menu minimized and tracing was indeed off. :)

Check the Global Illumination settings themselves in the Visual Settings (F7).

For some reason, in the latest version, the Bounce Strength is set to 0.1. This should at least be 1.0. Likewise, Tracing should be Enabled. See attached screenshot.

RL, please fix the defaults, as many users will run into this, as I did myself, actually.
