Product:
iClone 8
Version:
8.3
Status:
Not Reproducible
Issue 10607
Motion Direction Control doesnt apply to LiveLink
Any changes made to either translation or rotation under 'Motion Direction Control', do not affect the position or rotation in UE5.2 (from iClone 8.3) via LiveLink.

This means that if there are any corrections done within iClones Motion Direction Control, the character will be out of alignment.

Nevermind. I collected the animation, exported it, imported it to a new sequence, sampled root to hip, then hip to root a few times, exported and re-imported and it finally fixed it. There's definitely a bug here somewhere, but through trial & error and some brute force, it seems to be working for now.

Hi Calvin,

Thanks for getting back to me. I have removed the LiveLink origin from the level and reset all characters to the world origin. The results are unfortunately the same.

To rule out any potential corruption within iClone itself, I completely removed all Reallusion programs and plugins, restarted, reinstalled everything and restarted again. The problem still persists.

If you look at the video below (or corresponding project) both of which were shared on June 20th, are you still unable to recreate the issue on your end?

Is there an additional level of support I can contact for help here, whether it be paid or not?

Originally because of slow updates to the LiveLink plugin (over a month) and now due to issues where the transform and rotation are not carrying over (also now over a month), I have been dealing with issues of some form since May 15th and this is quickly becoming a program I will need to abandon for any kind of professional work. I REALLY like your products, but I am now desperate to be able to continue working here, so please let me know how I can assist in resolving this problem as soon as possible.

Hi hansolo007,

In fact, we have not been able to reproduce this issue yet; we can only speculate that it may be related to iClone Origin and the initial position of the character.

Thanks for the response. I do need the iClone origin as part of my workflow though. Will this be fixed in an upcoming version?

Hi hansolo007,

Sorry for the late reply.
Please detach the metahuman from iClone origin and make sure your metahuman position set as ( 0,0,0 ).
