Merge material export progress stop and crash CC4 every time
Hi there, has there been a solution for merge material crash yet?
Every time I export rather complex character (eg. char with full cloth) using merge material option the export progress always stops at around 75%, while simple characters can be exported using this option without any issue. Trying to search for solution online but there is no real solution to this.

Step to reproduce issue:
1.Produce cloth character and use skin gen premium plugin
2.Click export
3.Select Unreal as target tool preset
4.Click InstaLOD and select merge material (UV) by type (any resolution always produce the issue)
5.Click export

Bug
-Export progress stops at 75% and CC4 become unresponsive (waiting does not solve the issue). I notice that character with fewer cloth has more chance to success exporting but this is not always the case.

It's probably quite late, but I have the same issue since month and it doesn't depend on the total polygons of my character, but rare object makes the whole thing unable to work.

I've been able to find the objects that cause problems with the decimate tool, it's usually the only object unable to be merged with all the other ones.
(I don't know what causes the issues as its "crash" without getting any error message)

(It also seem some device don't have the Issue for the same file, I don't know the reasons)

PS: That's also a message for those likes me that didn't find the solution as a full re-installation wasn't the fix of the issue.

You're right,it was caused by a certain content.Can you provide your character file to us?We want to confirm if the two issues are caused by the same reason.

It was caused by "Model10",you can delete it,then you can export.

My observation is it seems to happen with characters with multiple pieces of cloth (naked, underwear only characters did not produce the issue).

Really want to see it fixed as this is one of the features that make CC4 stand out from the market and it helps a lot in game dev optimization.
