1. Make a chain of bones and import it like a prop.
2. Try to move the bones, fk works.
3. Ctrl - click on bone at bottom of chain to make it blue, then click on a bone higher up in the hierarchy to make it yellow.
4. Try to move the bone with the xyz move gizmo, IT DOES NOT WORK.
5. The bones stay stiff and don't move.
While you are working on this, I'd love for you to make a way to dedicate the target Ctrl bone as a bone that can use the look at function. That way we can puppet the ik bone chain with another object. This would allow for making tentacle type animations very easy. Or, attaching a hose to the forearm while the Ctrl bone looks at the upper arm bone. This should make the the hose bend with the movement of the characters arm.
This would open the doors to so many more animating options, especially when used in conjunction with physics.
Hi Ryan
Thank you for your feedback.
We have previously encountered a similar issue, and I'm not sure if it's the same as the one you're facing. Could you please help me update to the latest version, 8.52, and check if the issue has been resolved?
