Crash when I open a project
Something strange has been happening to me for a few days... While I was producing different commissions for my clients, I suddenly had multiple crashes for no reason. As soon as I opened a project, I had a crash. I obviously panicked because I had to finish projects. So I did several searches and the only solution seemed to be to uninstall and reinstall everything. That's what I did, but it didn't solve my problem. So I updated my graphics card, tried to change different settings...etc.
Then I also fiddled with the settings in iClone/CC to find the miracle button! And after a whole day of research, I found the cause of my crashes:

When I deactivate "Environment Reflection" I no longer have a crash. Now the question I ask myself is why suddenly this option makes me crash when before this was not the case? I'm putting this here in case other users like me have the same problem. Also, what is the solution to fix that problem?

Hi,

"Some contents cause the crash when Enviroment Reflection is checked", we figure out it is caused by the NVIDIA driver update.

We have arleady reported it to NVIDIA and received the feedback. It will be corrected in the next version of the driver update.
From NVIDIA: ETA is Nov 21st (Game Ready driver). Dec 12th is next Studio Driver

Currently it is recommended to back to driver 53x version first. you can get the older drivers from this website.

Having exactly the same issue in CC and IC even with the recent update. Both crash the moment you turn on Environment Reflections.

Hello Molly,

I attached a video demonstration about the crash. I just openned a commun project from iClone 8 which is "3.AccuLips_Demo_Lewis_ToKoMotion".
By defaut I disabled the "Environment Reflection". In the video you can see that iClone 8 crash at the moment when I tick back "Environment Reflection".

These crashes appears without any reasons. From one day to the next, I had repeated crashes on any of my projects that I wanted to open. I actually have one of my projects corrupted now =(

On the Reallusion forum, some users who had crash problems no longer have them since I posted the tip which solves the problem by unchecking "Environment Reflection".
