I have used this feature in Blender and some other software and it makes for a very fast posing having these two combined.

Also having the free gimbal in the center to translate / rotate freely depending on mouse position in relation to the bone is very handy when positioning bones from different perspectives almost regardless of camera view.

at least Translate / Rotate combined would make posing very easy and effortless.

The combined gizmo with free gimbal in the picture is a mockup to visiualize what i 'm suggesting.
