CC5: Changes to hair and/or skin color in the CC5 materials editor not reflected on export
Ok - I’m using a single model and changing its skin color/hair/clothing as a workaround to FBX export issues found in CC5 (kept getting “FBX failed to export” messages when importing CC 4.5.4 characters to CC5, editing, then attempting to export them to Unreal Engine 5.6)
However, in doing so, the changes to the materials/textures are not being reflected as I made the aforementioned changes to their appearance. Not only that, but in CC5 Modify → Materials → Skin Color tool, the skin color slider and color selector are completely bugged out! The slider does not reflect the actual color that is exported in the textures! I was then forced to BAKE the textures onto the model, but in doing so, it’s guess work - because the actual skin color of the model isn’t reflected in the scene, I’ve had to “proximate” by trial and error the slider value needed in the modify panel to get the desired skin color!!
One more thing (and this is the disgust talking due to the HOURS I've wasted trying to get my projects back to a working state after the CC5/iClone 8.6 bugfest) - whomever managed/oversaw the release of this update needs to be fired immediately. It's gross incompetence - it's as if you all did no testing at all.

I've uninstalled CC5 following instructions received on your forums and through support. I actually upgraded a LIVE PROJECT I'm working on the CC5 only to experience the countless bugs, this being one of them. I gave you all the steps I completed so that you can replicate as much as possible. I will not be reinstalling CC5 anytime soon. The original model was a CC3 character that I upgraded to CC3+. I then changed its skin color to a darker tone using the Modify panel mentioned above in CC5. The model I purchased from the Reallusion store (or was it marketplace?) is "BB CC3 Cloth Anatomically Accurate Male Base Style_30 American"
