Blueprints reset to 0 at each export from Iclone (Unreal Live link)
Hi I have a question :

I noticed that the blueprints from characters imported via Unreal live link are reset to 0 when we transfer them once again in Unreal Engine. So, each time I change the appearance of a character in iclone and transfer it again in Unreal using Live Link, the blueprint for this character reset to 0 (in Unreal) wich is really annoying because we lost all the blueprints codes within it.

Is there a way to enable / disable the overwriting during each export from iclone to Unreal ?

Hi kamehasutraa,

We can't decide whether to override character blueprints. Override default printing is forced whenever sending via Live Link. Because we want Live Link to work.

Current solution:

1. Rename the changed target character (ex: Kevin) to Kevin_v2 and send it to UE again to prevent the same character from being overwritten. (step1.png)

2. Change the character by changing the Skeletal Mesh in UE, and keep the current blueprint data. (step2.png)

3. Remember to save and compile. (step3.png)

4. Final result: Completed replacement to Kevin_v2 appearance, keeping original Kevin's blueprint profile. (step4.png)
