Issue 5869
3DXchange should support newer Sketchup versions
Trimble has made a change to 3DWarehouse, such that only Sketchup models in versions 2017, 2018, and 2019 can be downloaded.

None of these versions are supported by 3DXchange; the latest supported version is Sketchup 2015.

It would be great if 3DXchange were to be updated so that the latest Sketchup versions are supported.

It's a shame 3DExchange has lost the 3d Warehouse functionality as it was why I bought it

I am so glad that I installed SU17 when it was first released. I only use it for converting models, and I use SU8 for all of my work - ver. 8 was the last Google version released with a very open EULA. Trimble took all the "fun" out of SU when they auto converted every old model to SU16 and above.

This is the more critical, because Trimble no longer provides a free desktop version of Sketchup, so conversion is not an easy option. I tried to install Sketchup 2017, but it causes a blue screen before finishing the installation.

So I think this is kind of urgent.

I'm in the same situation as Craig (ckalan) .....

I use Sketchup and find it a very intuitive 3d modeling program. The warehouse is full of great models. I hope that iclone updates 3dxchange to make it possible to import models like it used to.
Thanks
