360 Panorama feature request
Request a feature for Cartoon Animator 5 which will allow users to import as 360 panorama photo as a background. The purpose of using a 360 panorama is for reducing workflow and providing the animator with multi-perspective shots for their scenes without the need to redraw backgrounds. In addition, this will give the camera a more cinematic quality and feel to the final render.

Hi Lee, sorry I cannot update you straight away spending time with family over this Easter from Alan

I have recently found a solution, or better yet a workflow for bringing 360 panoramas into CTA5. First you will need Clip Studio Paint 2.0, to create or work with a canvas size of 7,680 pixels wide by 4,320 pixels tall (8K) for best resolution. Once inside CSP 2.0 you can now work with and manipulate the panorama as a sphere. And as Alan has suggested, you can carefully map out the scene getting all of the important shots and saving your work as an MP4 file. The MP4 file can now be imported into CTA5 as a background or as a prop. Working with your scene in CTA5 you can now import other characters and props and carefully plan and choreograph their movements within the scene. I have achieved great results using this method and now feel that CTA5 has an unleashed camera system.

So why all the fuss about 360 panoramas anyway? Imagine being a great 3d artist, and you build this amazing 3D western town full of saloons, banks, sheriff's office, post office etc. And you pour your heart and soul into working with Iclone8, Blender, Unity, or Unreal5, you want to reuse it in other projects or share with others on the market place right? Turning your 3D model into a 360 Panorama will allow you the creative freedom to navigate and import your shots into CTA5 where you can flex your mad skills in lighting, shading, Uv and texture mapping, you get the picture!!

And as a sidequest, if you are as nerdy as I am about 360 then grab your favorite beverage and checkout these inspirational and well-done videos on the topic:

Hello Alan,

I'm a huge fan of Matterport, I love how their system brings everything together. They have affordable cloud plans, but alas their Pro-2/3 camera systems are not budget friendly. I would be happy to look at what solutions you have found in your journey of photography!

Thanks very much,
Lee
