When saving PSD template back into CA after editing in External Editor mask layer for the eyes sometimes spontaneously turns off
It doesn't seem to happen every single time but frequently enough for it to be a nuisance. Sometimes - and I was unable to figure out what the scenario is - when you edit a character in the external editor the mask layer in PSD template for the eyes (Normal) turns off by itself for no apparent reason. See attachment 1.

As a result when you switch back to CA, character's eyes appear blank. See attachment 2.

It took me a few frustrating hours until I stumbled upon a post somewhere on the CA forum with this tip, otherwise I would have never guessed it.
I have seen this happen to the mouth as well but primary feature that seems to be affected most frequently is the eyes. The most puzzling part is that it happens by itself when your edits have nothing to do with the eyes at all.

@Kylelee: thanks, like I mentioned, I am aware of a workaround and yes it works. But it is an issue nonetheless.

Not sure if it helps but I am using Affinity Photo as the external editor.
