Water Waves
I very would like, to get real water waves and flowing rivers, where I can choose the high and the direction of waves.
I have played around a little bit with amazon's Lumberyard, where the water is really nice - here a little example: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3CIsl8ZONgo

The entire water system needs an upgrade its vary basic, edges look bad and the water has no real detail to it. As you said you cant even have a beach with waves crashing.
There is no sea foam or any detail to the water, unless you make a lake that's about all its good for. Water does not flow well nor does it look natural its disappointing.

Yes please!!... We also need surf for surfing and for crashing waves onto a beach. 

So far the best I can manage is by modelling a wave shaped avatar and using puppet control in iClone to control it, but puppet controller also needs to be more precise before I can get a nicer curl, and I'm still trying to figure out how to make foam on the curl;
