Anyway for better work with DDS cash in SkinGen mode, what is recomaned, it is graphic card problem?
Actualy I am using GeForce GTX 1060 6G, so it is meant more bigger RAM on graphic card?
thank you for Your advice about merge/flatten some layers. I must learn more by manual :-)
Because dealing 4k texture involves a lot of DirectX resource exchange and DDS cache writing process.
Please try to edit layer in 2k mode then bake final result with 4k texture:
1. Edit texture in 2k in SkinGen mode
2. Deactivate SkinGen mode
3. Toolbar > Modify > Bake All Skin Textures > Select 4096

P.S. Other decals from that category also causes crashes on 4k resolution.
