Continuous Crashing
I can't get a thing done with CA4. The program opens and after a few minutes of doing anything it locks up and crashes.

I have also experienced a complete system shutdown with this crash. Sometimes it just crashes without a complete system shutdown. Other times it crashes and my computer shuts down.

My last crash happened like this...

Open program
Open Project
Add Character
Switch to Scene
Computer shuts down.

Thanks for the update. This information may help us identify the problem.
Our dev team are investigating details and trying to figure out what may cause this issue, although we are unable to reproduce it now. However, there is still a possibility that this issue was caused by an incomplete or corrupted installation. So I have helped you submit a support ticket to our online support system. The support team will contact you via email and will help you resolve this issue.
I understand how it can be frustrating, and hopefully we can get it sorted out soon.


Out of curiosity I uninstalled the 2d Facial Mocap Suite for Cartoon Animator and CA4 is working just fine without crashing.  Once I reinstalled the 2d Facial Mocap Suite for Cartoon Animator the program crashes again before I can even get a project going.

Soooo... it appears the problem is with the plugin NOT CA4 stand alone.

Any suggestions/fixes for this?

1. I do not have a ctproject to share with you. The program crashes within minutes of being launched.

2. The file you asked me to add to collect the dump file is written into my registry and I am not at all comfortable with making adjustments to my registry that could possibly cause more problems. I have multiple high end programs on my computer and it just isn't worth the risk.

3. You also want me to to create a video, upload it to youtube, etc??? Come on guys.... How much work am I supposed to do? You are asking me to intentionally crash my computer again so that you can find the problem???? I have a very busy schedule and I really do not have time for this. As with anyone purchasing ANY software I was expecting this to work properly out of the box and to smoothly integrate it into my workflow.  I have search the forums, Goolge and here and I am not the only person with this issue.

My solution for now.... CTA3 is working just fine SO..... I will simply discontinue using CA4 until you find out what is wrong with your software and release an update. Several users are having the same issue so it cannot be my computer causing the problems.

NOTE: I've been using Reallusion products for more than 10 years and I must say that I am VERY DISAPPOINTED in CA4. Outside of this, I LOVE REALLUSION! But this particular software is a big disappointment for me.

Good luck trying to find out what you've done wrong that is causing various users to have this issue. If you have not discovered and fixed the problem in a couple of weeks I will simply request a refund.

Thank you guys for all your hard work. Sure... I am disappointed in this particular software version but I will always be a Reallusion fan.
