Character creator freezes on launch after displaying 'failed to load the file' message

CC had been working fine till I tried changing the default file as per instructions here : https://forum.reallusion.com/251603/How-to-Change-default-scene-in-Character-Creator-
When I got the 'failed to load the file' message I reverted to the old default file but the message continued.
I uninstalled CC and did a reinstall but no joy.
I cleared the temp folders, still no joy so I'm stumped.
Can you suggest what I should try next please?

When you uninstalled CC，did the defeult.iProject be removed?

Please provide the defeult.iProject file to help us identify the problem.

You can use cloud services such as Google Drive, Dropbox or OneDrive to make the files available to us and email the link with "FT 3903" in the email title to feedbacktrackeradmin@reallusion.com.
