For more details, please follow the step-by-step instructions below.

A.

Get to know jam Band Characters.

The jam Band Characters are a new format of characters that are based on G3 standard characters. We make the facial features (mouth, face, eyes, eyebrows, and hair) accessories, and give them facial expressions. Since each character has different body shape, it's not recommended to switch upper and lower bodies between the characters.

A-1. Apply any character (Ex. Rizumu). You can see from the Scene Manager that the character is composed from many accessories as picture below.

  A-2. Single Accessory (Ex. .J_Eyes).

Choose any accessory form the Scene Manager (Ex. .J_Eyes). Right click on it and you can see that there are many expression animations for eyes in Perfrom.
Other facial features also have their own expression animations (Ex. .J_Face, J_Eyes, J_Eyebrow).

  A-3. Control multiple accessories altogether.

Right click on the character from the Scene Manager. You can see that there are many facial expressions (Ex. Blink, Angry…etc). These are combined by animations from single accessory mentioned in A-2.

B.

Activate facial expressions in Editor Mode/ Director Mode.

You can choose using Editor Mode or Director Mode to activate the facial expressions.

B-1. Activate facial expressions in Editor Mode/ Director Mode.

C.

Make Videos that Have Facial Animations with Motions

Following Step B to add Facial Expressions on the character and apply motion to make a complete video.

  Tip.
Since this is a new type of content, please execute “Remove All Animation” before using facial expressions. This will prevent time frame going back to the first frame after combined expression is executed. (Do not have to do so for iClone4).
