Using Motion Clips

A motion clip can be put into the Motion Clip track anytime as you wish, which may generate a good transition effect between two voice clips. You can apply a Motion Clip template from the Motion Clip libraries in the Content Manager, or create a Puppet Clip by using the Puppeteering tool.

Applying Motion Clip Templates

In the example, add an emotion before the nervous contestant starts to sing.

  1. Drag the play head to the end of the voice clip.
  2. Switch the Content Manager to the Motion Clip >> Emotion library, and double-click on the Shy template to generate the transition effect.
  3. The Motion clip is then added into the track. Drag and trim the Motion clip to the proper place and length if necessary.
  4. The actor will then have additional emotions on top of the Auto Motion.

Before applying any Motion Clip, the actor has no special emotion when he is about to sing.

After adding the Motion Clip, the actor seems a bit shy when he is going to sing.

Using Puppeteering Tool

For example, make a deep breath for the contestant before he goes on his second try. You may refer to Lesson 5 and the Layering Facial Expressions section to create such a Puppet clip.

Before using any Puppet Clip, the actor pauses before singing.

After the Puppet Clip is created, the actor takes a deep breath before singing.
