Adding Background Music

Any voice over or audio mix for the background music can serve as a guide into a voice script, a link between two scripts, or to enhance the overall atmosphere to draw attention. Background music in WAV or mp3 format can be added into the Music track anytime for different purposes.

Guiding into Project

The voice over of a host introducing the contestant is needed in the beginning of the sample project. Drag and drop the audio file into the Music track, a background music clip will then be added into the track. Drag the clip to the start frame of the project, and drag the first voice clip a bit behind the clip.

Linking up Two Scripts

In the sample script, the host encourages the contestant to sing a second time. Drag and drop the audio file into the Music track, then move the clip behind the end of the contestant's first singing try. Drag the latter voice clip backwards to accommodate the length of this background music clip.

Enhancing the Atmosphere

For example, prepare an audio mix of the audience starting to sing in sync and clap till the end.

  1. Drag and drop the audio file into the Music track, then move the clip to where the atmosphere can be improved. Trim the clip to the desired length.
  2. Double-click the clip to access the Background Music Setting panel. Increase the Fade In and Fade Out values to fade in the background music at the beginning, then fade the music volume down at the end.
  3. Playback the project and observe the transition result between voice clips. You will find that the audience singing fades in with the actor, and then encore clapping fades out in the end.
