Issue 8516
Adobe Photoshop loses its activation if started from CC4
If Photoshop is selected as the default editor for textures, when editing a texture with Photoshop not started, it will ask for a license reactivation, as if it were used on a different PC. After inserting the correct Adobe id and password, Photoshop returned an error, as if it couldn't connect to the internet to verify the activation.

This can be solved by having Photoshop already started. This way, CC4 can send the texture to be edited normally, but it would be nice if CC4 could start Photoshop itself.

I reported this bug in CC3 in 2019, is flagged as "Assigned", but is still not fixed.

I am facing the same issue. If I go to Adobe management portal and see my PC listed two times under activation. I believe due to this the Photoshop crashes often when invoked form CC4 and I am unable to edit any photo that I need to do for Headshot plugin

I can second that this does indeed happen and can only be fixed by having Photoshop or Creative Cloud app open beforehand
