Lens flare is a type of lens artifact that occurs when light reflects off the surfaces inside the camera producing the effect. It immediately gives iClone rendering an optical and cinematic footage feeling. Create with customization capabilities starting with Lens Flare 200+ including 73 Lens Flare presets in the following categories.
Outdoor presets simulate the lens flare effects originated from outdoor light sources, including sunlight, streetlight and headlight. Emulate real camera visuals with convincing outdoor shots.
This preset offers additional simulated lens flare effects that can be used indoors. The light sources range from gentle candle to strong projector light.
Dramatic presets help to emphasize glaring or halo effects. These are commonly used for stylistic purposes or for achieving specific cinematic looks like sci-fi and cyberpunk.
Similar to dramatic effects, special effects are deliberate stylistic choices to produce stunning visuals for motion graphics, titling effects, futuristic or space-like scenarios.
UNLIMITED COMBINATION FROM 221 ELEMENTS
Designed for simulating reflected artifacts inside cameras, the lens flare effects are composed by 4 types of essential elements. The Light Source determines the emitter’s strength and position, a chain of Reflection and sporadic Decoration are generated from reflections and refractions of light entering the camera lenses, Dust refers to particles and imperfections on the surface of the camera lens such as scratches and water drops. Combining these elements give flexibility when designing a custom lens flare effect.
Add or Replace Library Effects
Freely create unique lens flare effects by assembling selected elements. The highly customizable interface allows adding or replacing existing element types with new effects.
Adjust Global Scale, Brightness and Color

Layer Edit Element Properties
The element properties are made by multiple layers of items, and each layer has attribute settings that are individually adjustable in scale, brightness, or number of objects.
Import Custom Images
Looking for more flexibility? Create custom image patterns and add to the layer list. By defining which attribute the image pattern is for, you can freely adjust the image layer with the corresponding attribute settings.
Set Culling and DIrectional Decay
Culling & Blocking
Designed to correspond with camera movements. Culling controls the fade-out speed as the lens flare leaves the camera perspective. When the lens flare is obscured by any other objects, set Object Blocking for the fading out effect of the lens flares.
Directional Decay is specific to the spotlight or flashlight source that is pointing at, making the lens flare only visible from specific camera directions.
