Use Material Picker to select target material from a 3D model with multiple materials.
Individual texture channel has its own Material UV Settings, which enables combined multi-texturing effects with different UV assignments.
Color adjustment can be applied to individual texture channels.
Save material settings to material library (iMTL) for repeat use.
Material Key Frame Animation
The material textures can be animated by editing key frames. Tuning the strength of each texture channel, you can create amazing visual effects as below.
Diffuse Map
Use the diffuse channel to display the main texture from its base color.
Combined with color settings (ambience, diffuse, specular) and surface reflective nature (specular, glossiness, illumination), users can change the material nature from mud to steel, from a flat look to an impressive depth.
Use Blend Map to add realism or create filtering effects to your object. (e.g. aged, dirt or polish).
3 Blend options: Multiply, Addition, and Overlay.
Other texture channels and neutralized blend map for UV adjustment.
External Texture Access
Import the texture as "External Texture" to spare your hard drive and get better performance.
Adjust the parameters of the external texture to simultaneously change the looks of several objects.
Texture Fast Editing - Pick and Paint
Eyedropper - to collect material info from specific texture surface in an object.
Paint Bucket - to paint and apply the same materials quickly on the surfaces of different objects.
Video & Dynamic Texturing
With iClone4, the popular video formats (AVI, WMV, MOV, RM/RMVB, MPEG, FLV, ASF) can be imported into the texture channels like Diffuse, Opacity, Bump, Specular, Glow, Reflection, and Blend in every actor or object.
