
Each new iClone release pushes the real-time character into the next level of realism and controllability. In iClone4, it includes 7 human characters, 2 CloneCloth characters, 1 cartoon character, 3 non-standard characters and 3 non-human characters. All actors feature a higher level of detail and lower poly count for faster performance. Visual design is enhanced with normal maps for human characters.

Skin Tone Variation -
Your 3D actor's skin color is automatically determined by the face you choose to apply to your actor's body. iClone takes a sample color from the chosen face and maps that color to the full body's exposed skin so that your face and body skin can match without any further editing as you select different body styles for your actor.

Gloves are a new content type for iClone actors. They can be applied like an accessory and they are flexible, so that you can do separate finger animation.
CloneCloth introduces powerfully simplified custom clothing creation for iClone G3 CloneCloth actors using images and any image editor to shape and decorate custom designs.
Dual-layer CloneCloth actors feature outer garments that have the ability to reveal inner skin when the garments are cut to fit.
Sheer cloth using simple grayscale color for transparent apparel.
Additional clothing customization with bump, reflection, and glowing effects using the multi-texture editing feature.
Export CloneCloth textures to share and sell custom clothing as texture packs.
A Persona is the characteristics given to the actor so that the actor can animate in a unique style. One Persona file may include several sets of movement behaviors. Use Behavior Mode Switch (hotkey X/Z, next/previous mode) to trigger different animation sets, such as walk mode, run mode, or even a custom defined fly mode. Animation defined in the Persona can be either triggered by hotkey or right-click menu.
