General Inquiries

1) What kind of content packs are there? What does each kind stand for?

There are four major products in our content store, and each product has several categories of contents under it and some categories may have sub- categories under them. Take iClone for example, there are Theme, Avatar, Head, Motion, Scene, Texture, and Tree. You can find all these in the left hand side of the content store. If you want to learn more about what each category or sub-category stand for, please click here.

1) Why does my content cover with watermarks in the working window?

If your content is covered with watermarks, it means that it is a trial content.
If you have purchased that content, please make sure your computer have internet connection during when installing and applying the content for the 1st time.

Base Model Required Content

1) What are base contents (models)?

Base contents are contents that our developers used to create something of their own. (For example: Clonecloth. CloneCloth Character Pack provides dual layers of Cloth mesh that developers use to design their own clothes by changing the textures and opacity map. )

2) Why do I need buy base contents?

When you purchase a texture pack, usually you need to buy base contents that are specified on the web page. The material files in the texture pack only work with designated base model. If you apply these material files on other contents, the result may be very strange. Some developers may re-purpose base contents and sell them in the Content Store or Marketplace. They may include the base contents in their packs. Most base contents are digital right protected except those contents included in iClone. If you do not own the specific base content yet, you will have watermark on your working window when the contents are applied. The watermark will disappear only after you purchase the base content.

3) I bought a texture pack but I can not find the texture files. Where do I find them and how to apply?

When you purchase a texture pack, the texture files are saved as Material Balls (.iMtl). If you bought cloth sets, please click the Actor tab in your iClone and click the Upper Body or Lower Body under it. Click the "Load Material File" in the Modify section and choose the file that you just bought. The files are usually in the folder name that is named after the pack name in Material Libs folder. For example, if you bought a G3 texture pack called Nightlife, the material files will be in C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Documents\Reallusion\Template\iClone 4 Template\iClone Template\Materials Lib\Nightlife. You can also check the read me file when you install the pack for the location of the material files.
