Exporting Characters
Common Settings

Select from the Target Version
drop-down list to determine the root folder of the custom folder where you want to export the model.

You may also manually change the destination folders (described
below) for storing the model or motions of the model.
Geometry Settings

In the Geometry File Name field, type in the file name.

Because a character is always bone-skinned, the All radio button
in the Export Option section will be automatically chosen to
ensure the structural integrity of the character.

Refer to the Texture Settings section for more information about how to set these options.

Select the Default radio button to convert the model into the
default custom folder:

iClone Content Folder, by

Choose the Other radio button and click the Browse... button to export the model into your desired folder.
You may then create new sub-folders to build your own custom
character library.
Animation Settings
If you want to export the iMotionPlus, iMotion or iTalk of the character,
make sure that they are already added into the Perform Editor, and then
activate the Export Animation box in the Animation Settings section.

You are able to edit the names of the iMotionPlus, iMotion or iTalk animations only when the
Export Geometry box in the Geometry Settings section is deactivated.
This method helps you when individually exporting animations without exporting any characters.

You can only activate the Export iMotion box for exporting
motions (*.iMotion) of a non-human character.
You may apply the motions via the Perform list of the character in iClone.

Right-click on the character to apply its motions in the Perform list.

The motions (*.iMotion) are not packed into this character, but separately stored into a private folder in the Custom Motion Library.

The motions are stored in the Custom Motion Library in iClone.

Please note that these motions can only be applied to this non-human character or other non-human characters
that have an identical bone-skinned structure.

character will be exported.
