Creating a Cozy 3D Environment
In order to create a cozy 3D environment, you must take two aspects into consideration, the Distance/Width values in the 3D virtual world,
and the the Distance/Width values in the real world. The values of these two aspects must be at the same ratio to present you the best and
comfortable feeling of 3D stereo effect.
Method of Getting Distance/Width Ratio
-
Decide the target object in iClone.
-
Use the top view to count the Distance value between the camera and the target object.
-
Switch to the front view and count the visible Width value where the target object is.
-
Use these two values to get one ratio.
600 : 450
-
Export the project as a 3D stereo media.
Mapping the Ratio to Devices in the Real World
-
Counting the width of your display device for playing the media.
-
Decide the approximate viewing distance away from the display device according to the ratio.
This distance is the best position for having the most appropriate 3D
sensation.
600 : 450 =
50 : 37.5
-
The viewers within this distance can have stronger 3D stereo feeling while the others out of the distance perceive weak 3D stereo effect.
