Purchasing iContent License

In 3DXchange, any content that has Magenta text in it's scene tree is considered a trial version, and will cause watermarks to appear in the iClone project window when it is imported into your scene.

Trial content are highlighted in Magenta.	Watermarks appear in the iClone Preview window.

In order to freely use the content in iClone, you need to first purchase the iContent License.

Three Portals for Purchasing

There are three ways to start purchasing the iContent Licese in iClone or 3DXchange:

• All Trial iContents: Purchase the content by clicking on the Buy Now button in the Project >> Modify panel in iClone. This method is suitable for all trial iContent you have applied in your iClone project.
  
• Props, Accessories, and Characters: Drag and drop the iContent of these three types into 3DXchange and click on the Export OBJ... (Shortcut: Ctrl + B) button in the tool bar.
  Alternatively, you may access the Get Content >> Buy iContent command.
  
  You may see either one of the dialogs below:

  This message informs you that some iContent is not yet unavailable. Click the link to check the schedule for releasing the iContents.	Click the Buy iContent to start purchasing iContent License through the online shopping cart.

• Props, Accessories, Characters and Motions :click the Buy iContent button in the tool bar.
  

Purchasing with the Online Shopping Cart

After entering the portal, you can start purchasing the iContent License through the online shopping cart.

1. Your browser will then be opened and the trial content will be put into your web shopping cart.
   
2. At the right side of each bar, you will see the price of the content.
   
   • If the content will only be used in iClone, then leave this drop-down list unchanged.
   • If you want to export the content to other 3D tools, then you can select the Export License option from the drop-down list.
     
   • If you do not want to buy the content, then activate the right-most check box and click the Remove button at the bottom of this page.
3. Activate all check boxes of the content you wish to purchase, review the total price and then click the Proceed to Checkout button.
   
4. Then click the Confirm button at the bottom of the next page.
   
5. Click the Refresh License (Shortcut: F6) button in the tool bar in 3DXchange to update the license status of the content, the content will then be highlighted in maroon which means that you may freely use it in iClone. Alternatively, you may access the Get Content >> Refresh command.
   
6. In iClone, switch to the Project page and then click on the Update button in the Modify panel to remove the watermark.
