Definition of iContent

iContent is a term used for iClone Content, the proprietary content formats for iClone. You can find those major content types in the Reallusion Content Store (well packaged premium content, run by Reallusion) and content Marketplace (sell by item, trial download, self-published content from Reallusion developers as well as Reallusion native content).

Categories of iContent Loadable in 3DXchange

• iAvatar - Character file for iClone. iAvatar format contains skin-bone rigged 3D characters you can animate in iClone.
• iMotion - Native motion file for iClone characters, can export into FBX or BVH format via 3DX5, and retarget to your unique 3D characters via 3DXChange Pipeline edition.
• iHair - Most often rigged to iAvatar's head and shouldesr so it won't penetrate the body when the character moves.
• iAccessory - Accessories which can be directly applied to a specific body part of an iAvatar, such as glasses, swords, guns, etc.
• iProp (refers to either static or animated props) - for animated props, usually you can access the embedded animation through the right-click menu. Animated props can also contain LUA script for interactive controls. You can create your own interactive props using tools such as the Physics Toolbox, or add a right-click menu for motion from timeline using the Collect Clip function.
• iMaterial - Contains texture files and material settings for a specific target mesh, it can be designed for props or characters. In content marketplace, iMaterials are mostly designed for iClone Characters (*.iAvatar).

About iContent License

• After buying an iContent License, you obtain a commercial license to use the purchased iContent within iClone
• If you load an iClone project, character, motion, prop, or material files which contain trial iContent, then you will see a watermark displayed in the stage window. You will only be able to test this trial content, and will not be able to modify or save it until you have purchased the iContent license.
• After you buy the iContent License, the watermark will be removed. You can edit, modify, and save all licensed iContent.
