Refine SKP Models
Any model from Google™ SketchUp or the large library 3D Warehouse can be refined in iClone and 3DXchange with the following features like auto smooth, specularity, glossiness, and self-illumination.

You can animate any model in iClone created with Google™ SketchUp or downloaded from Google™ 3D Warehouse. Reallusion also provides path helpers to be attached to your object for natural and easy animation.

Front & Back Face
The back face in SketchUp ensures the two sides of a polygon visible, but you cannot select single side of them individually. In 3DXchanage, these two sides can be dissecting into two different mesh nodes.

Pipeline: 3D Warehouse, 3DXchange and SketchUp

The common pipeline for Google™ 3D Warehouse, 3DXchange and Google™ SketchUp is as below:

  1. Click the Google™ 3D Warehouse button on the tool bar.

  2. Search for the desired model. Click Get Model button. You are prompted to save the model into your desired directory.

  3. Click File/Edit Original SKP File (Ctrl + K) to invoke SketchUp if you want to re-edit the model.

  4. Click Save in SketchUp after you finish editing.

  5. Click Reload (F5) button to reload the edited model into 3DXchange.
