- Please export all files into iClone3 as Props, because the 3D Scene in iClone3 has new format definition which include terrain and sky. If you wish to convert props into terrain, simply use right-click menu to add it to terrain.
- 3DXchange can only accept “VNS, 3Ds, OBJ and SKP” file. The props in iClone3 are in new “iProp” file type which is not supported in 3DXchange2 at this stage.

2) How can I
see the opacity result in a 2D image?
Please switch to the pixel shadow mode.
|
3) I find there
are more models shown when an skp file is opened in
3DXchange than in SketchUp, it seems that they are
hidden in SketchUp.
Show layers in SketchUp then you can see these hidden
objects.
|
4) The result
is incorrect as I load a huge model (over 100,000
faces), what shall I do?
Please choose 3D models with reasonable polygon count which are suitable for real-time 3D rendering, normally it should be under 100K polygons.
|
5) When I load
a very big object, the bounding box disappears. What
shall I do?
Please set the scale to 1 for a huge object, then
you can see the bounding box.
|
6) Can I import SketchUp (Free/PRO) 7 generated .skp files into iClone 3DXchange?
SketchUp 7 .skp files cannot be loaded into 3DXchange since the program was developed when SketchUp was only up to version 6. Please choose to save your SketchUp 7 models in the SketchUp 6 format to make them compatible with iClone 3DXchange.
