What kind of dance video can you submit?

You can submit anything that is related to dance! Even if you don't know how to dance, you can still participate as we all have a passion for music. Here you can find some suggested video genres. Remember that you don't need to stick to these four genres, you just need to make sure that there is a dance element in your video animations.

Rules & Qualifications

To submit, all participants should first register as a Reallusion member and submit their videos via the Submission Form before 12/16/2012 midnight/Pacific Time.

  • Participants must use iClone in the creation of their movies. – If you don’t have iClone then you may acquire a free iClone EX version.
  • Participants must fill out the Submission Form with their video title, description, credits, contact information and URL link to their uploaded video on YouTube, Vimeo or any other free video sharing platform.
  • Entrants may submit up to (3) videos for award consideration.
  • Winners will be posted on the Dance Animation Competition's official forum page and notified through e-mail.

 

Technical Requirements

  • 1 video link uploaded to a free video sharing platform, with the viewing link sent to Reallusion.
    (Video size is not limited, but good video quality is encouraged. The video name title must begin with the text “iClone Dance Animation - ”. Also, please add the following event site URL to your video description, "http://www.reallusion.com/event/12-DanceAvatars/default.html" )
  • Video length: Minimum of 1 minute ~ 5 minutes (longer videos are acceptable)
  • Submitted videos MUST be about DANCE (please refer to the genre above)
  • Submitted videos may incorporate footage from other video games, music video, or commercial clips for a media mash-up but the submission would need to have at least 40% iClone generated footage inside.
  • Video entries may be submitted in any language but they must have English voice dubs or subtitles for worldwide viewing and appreciation. Take note that this is an international competition

Other Rules & Criteria

  • Reallusion reserves the right to disqualify, without notification, submissions done in poor taste including content that is: offensive, defamatory, indecent, or objectionable.
  • At Reallusion's request, winners may be asked to provide additional contact information for purpose of prize delivery.
  • The grading of award prizes can be made by the "judges' score" and the "video popularity". Please refer to the Prizes page to know more about the winning criteria.
  • Reallusion reserves the right to cancel this competition at any stage, if deemed necessary in its opinion, and if circumstances arise outside of its control or if the number of participants do not exceed the minimum number decided by Reallusion.
  • By submitting an entry, a participant automatically agrees and certifies that he/she has read and agrees to all the rules and requirements governing this particular event. By submitting, participants also grant Reallusion the permission to use their creative work in any future marketing event or promotion held by Reallusion.
  • Reallusion would like to make clear that it does not profit from this event. The Dance Animation competition is done out of good faith and with the purpose of bringing communities and ideas together for the entertainment of all.
